UC4 Redwood Tanalised

All the raw material for our PRO-POST range is sourced from the forests of Europe. This includes slow-grown Redwoods, which are treated to Use Class 4 ground contact standards (EN335-1) to meet the requirements of BS8417 and give excellent long term performance, even in the most challenging of environments.

Ellpro Timber uses the latest generation TANALITH wood preservative in our high pressure treatment facilities to produce our range of high performance fencing timbers. TANALITH is a unique formulation product from Arch Wood Protection with many years of tried, tested and proven performance in markets around the world. It provides an advanced long term protection against the threat of wood decay and insect attack, especially for ground contact timbers.

OctoPost Cresoted

Octopost fencing posts are manufactured from redwood timber* grown in Sweden in or near the Arctic circle which gives added strength due to its very slow rate of growth. The posts are kiln dried and pressure treated with rot resistant Creosote. OCTOPOST offers a 25 year guarantee but the posts have a very long service life of 30-40 years.

The long lasting Octoposts have revolutionised the fencing market using creosote a fencing solution that is stronger and faster to install but is expected to outlast any other product on the market. OCTOPOST are used extensively throughout Europe in the Agricultural and Equestrian market.

Octowood, manufacturers of the OCTOPOST,  also manufacture telegraph poles at the same treatment plant as the OCTOPOST. Crucially the same process, timber and treatment, are used in the making of the telegraph poles and the Octopost. So the Octopost are simply a mini telegraph pole.

Bond Timber

Bond Timber Cundy Gold Treated

Bond stakes are exclusively selected quality redwood, and are dried to the correct moisture content before using the gold treatment which offers a 30 year service life. The gold standard treatment is set at double the strength of standard UC4, essential for ground contact, with the timber in the treatment tank for 5 hours rather than 1.5 hours. This means that the treatment penetrates further into the timber providing better protection from the elements and ultimately extending the desired service life for the stakes. â€‹â€‹
